Alvin Ayman signs first professional Liverpool contract months after transfer arrival

Liverpool teenager Alvin Ayman has . He arrived from Wolves last summer.

Terms of his contract are undisclosed. But Liverpool has moved quickly to tie the youngster to a senior contract.

A midfielder by trade with the capability to play in defense as well, Ayman has been spending time in the U18 side this season. He recently made a return from injury.

Ayman, 17, has also been included in the U19 squad for UEFA Youth League action during the course of the campaign. Like the , it has transitioned to a "league phase" format this season, with Liverpool currently in line to secure a playoff spot.

The young talent arrived from Wolves with a significant reputation. Much like the recent arrivals of , and , his capture was considered a coup for Liverpool by those who follow youth football.

It took two months for Ayman's deal to be approved in the summer, with the Premier League conducting its standard thorough scrutiny process before giving the move the green light. Youth transfers require a five-step procedure to be completed, ensuring everything has been done in a legitimate manner and in the best interests of the young person.
