and Graham Roberts may have had their differences as shown by their war of words – but they seem to agree on one thing;s talent.
Despite a previous spat that saw the now Como manager taunt over their trophy cabinet, both figures are united in their support for the former Spurs star, who has suffered difficult times in his personal life away from the pitch.
Dele this week inked an 18-month contract with the Serie A club after being a free agent for seven months following his Everton exit last summer.

He kept up his training at Finch Farm until December, when he was invited by Fabregas' Como to join their first-team training, leading to him earning a deal that runs until the end of the 2025/26 season. Como are currently sitting fairly comfortably in 13th in Serie A, marking their return to Italy's top division after 21 years in style.
Spurs icon Roberts, who played for the club from 1980 to 1986, is among those rooting for Dele to rediscover the spark he had in north London. The 65-year-old has previously voiced his support for the ex-England international, even labelling former Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho's handling of the player as "pathetic".
Despite Roberts and Fabregas' online disagreement, which occurred during the Spaniard's spell with Monaco, both are keen to see Dele thrive on the pitch once again, reports .
After making the switch from to Monaco in January 2019, the Spaniard queried fans on social media by asking: "As a fan, would you rather get to the Champions League final and be a runner up or win the Europa League? Just curious."
Among the flood of replies, it was one from Roberts that caught attention when he jibed: "Not getting much game time now then Cesc?" He was alluding to Fabregas' limited appearances with Monaco.
The formerskipper, now 37, shot back with a taunt over Spurs' trophy cabinet, retorting: "I don't know who you are and I don't know if I'm getting enough game time or not but I do know you won't win anything again this season."
Despite their previous spat, both seem united in their support for 28-year-old Dele as he looks to kickstart his career. In defence of the midfielder during his struggles at Spurs under Mourinho in the 2020/21 campaign, Roberts did not hold back, saying after the Portuguese boss' dismissal: "I've always liked Dele Alli, I think he's a great player.
"You know last year the way Mourinho treated him was absolutely pathetic. You don't treat football players in that way to get the best out of them, and I think the rest of the players turned against Mourinho because of that."
Roberts aired his frustration with the Fenerbahce manager's management style publicly, notably aggravated by Mourinho's reluctance to play Dele even when Spurs needed a goal, such as during the disappointing 1-1 draw with Fulham where he remained an unused substitute.
In the pursuit of a winning goal, Erik Lamela and Carlos Vinicius were brought on, leaving the midfielder on the bench. This prompted Roberts to comment on X: "Sorry not to use Dele crazy tonight when needed a goal".
