A woman tried a new makeup look trending on and people can’t believe how different she looks.

Lottie Starrs, a beauty content creator from , shared her take on the ‘unrecognisable’ that involves using makeup alone to give yourself a dramatic, often resulting in looking like a different person. She took it to the next level by also switching her pink hair for a blonde wig.

The fan, who regularly posts makeup tutorials, posted a 13-second video on TikTok to show how she looked before and after trying the ‘unrecognisable’ makeup look. People who saw the clip couldn’t believe how different she looked.

At the start of the video Lottie is seen with her usual pink hair and bare-faced before switching to her blonde wig and a full face of makeup, featuring bold, black eyeliner, a contoured nose and pink blusher. Her TikTok post has garnered a massive 41.3 million views, 7.1 million likes and 9,591 comments.

Several users wanted to know how Lottie how changed the way her eyes look as they asked, “How did you turn your eyes from painting down to pointing up?”, “How do you make your eyes so different?” and “How'd you angle your eyes?”. Lottie hasn’t replied to these questions but someone else responded: “Some lashes and eyeliner techniques give the illusion that your eyes are pointing up.”

Another person said: “Ok this is the first one I’ve seen that’s actually unrecognizable.” A different user added: “The way my jaw dropped.”

Further users commented “Girl - you are so pretty both ways but it looks so different?”, “That can’t be the same person omg” and “You'd do wonders as a spy”. Some people noted that the change in hair contributed towards the big transformation.

After seeing how much interest there was in this video, Lottie posted another one a few days later showing how she created her ‘unrecognisable’ makeup look to help others who wanted to try it out themselves. She began with the eye makeup, using concealer on her eye lids, eyeshadow from the ColourPop Cosmetics New Moon palette, fake lashes and eyeliner.

Next, she moved onto the face makeup with foundation, colour corrector, concealer under eyes, blusher, baking powder and contour on her nose. Lottie also lightly put some eyeshadow under eyes and filled her eyebrows in with the Anastasia Beverly Hills dark brown Dipbrow Pomade.

She touched up her eyelashes with some mascara and used a brown lipliner to outline her lips before filling them in with a red lip gloss. There are other variations on TikTok of ‘unrecognisable’ makeup by users, including Bella Anderson and Brynne Marie.
