Former Coronation Street icon Kym Marsh shared some exciting career news with her fans today - before admitting that there was an element of disappointment.
The 48-year-old appeared on the latest episode of Channel 4's Sunday Brunch to discuss her new travel programme with presenters Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer.
Kym's Channel 5 programme, The Weekend Travel Show, features her discussing unforgettable holiday adventures with her co-host, Richard Arnold.
But the pair don't actually get to holiday in sunnier regions. Instead, they talk about celebrity holidays and travel tips from a "studio in Camden".
While discussing how she was given the new part on Sunday Brunch, Kym appeared deflated as she explained she and Good Morning Britain presenter Richard won't be packing their suitcases.
Tim said: "So we have to explain this, there are videos in between of celebrities going away on holiday and talking about their experiences while you and Richard talk about travel as an experience."
Simon then chimed in and asked: "Do you get to go on any trips?"
Kym replied that she wouldn't be going on any trips before explaining how she initially reacted to the job offer saying to Richard: "Oh, let's do it let's do it". It was then that they discovered that they wouldn't actually be travelling. She said: "They said, 'no you're going to be in Camden in a studio and we're going to send off these celebrities doing some amazing holidays and we were like 'oh.'
"But I have actually said to them, next time if it goes ahead, we want to be away. We want to be away somewhere! But it is great fun because we do sit and we do chat about holidays," she explained.
Kym's travel show was met with some confusion from viewers who headed over to X to share their views.

Sunday Brunch airs Sundays from 10am on Channel 4.
