New Delhi: Anurag Thakur, an MP for the Bharatiya Janata Party, attacked the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party, saying that the people of Delhi felt “betrayed” and that both parties had robbed them throughout their rule.
Sheila Dikshit of the Congress headed the government as chief minister for 15 years prior to the AAP taking power in the 2013 Delhi Assembly elections.
“Delhi residents have seen both the AAP and Congress in power. Delhi’s treasury is at a deficit for the first time after the two parties together robbed the city,” Thakur told reporters on Sunday.
“Rahul Gandhi is nowhere to be seen,” he said, further criticizing the two parties and asserting that Congress and AAP had made “an agreement.” Perhaps Congress has reached a consensus. Why are Priyanka Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Sonia Gandhi fleeing the Delhi elections? They are not representing the Delhi Congress when they go to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
“The person who entered politics a few years ago wearing a XXL shirt now demands double security,” the BJP MP said, further criticizing Arvind Kejriwal for his demands. Z++ category security is now used by the person who came to teach the ABCs of politics and make a permanent change.
The elections will take place on February 5 and the vote count will take place on February 8. For the 70 Assembly seats in the National Capital, 699 persons are running.
The Congress, which ruled Delhi for 15 years in a row, has lost both of the most recent assembly elections and has not been able to secure any seats.
The AAP, on the other hand, won 67 and 62 seats out of 70 seats in the 2015 and 2020 assembly elections, respectively, while the BJP only managed three and eight seats.
