News – Federal Bank's profit decreased by five percent in the third quarter

New Delhi . The profit of the private sector Federal Bank declined by five percent to Rs 955 crore in the December quarter of the current financial year. A year ago, the bank had registered a profit of Rs 1,007 crore in the same quarter. According to the information given to the stock market, the total income of the bank increased to Rs 7,725 crore during the quarter under review, which was Rs 5,593 crore in the same period a year ago. Interest income in the October-December quarter of FY 2024-25 also increased to Rs 6,809 crore, which was Rs 5,730 crore in the same period a year ago. On the asset quality front, the bank's gross NPA (non-performing asset) improved from 2.29 percent to 1.95 percent on an annual basis. Similarly, the pure NPA declined from 0.64 percent to 0.49 percent.
