The Masked Singer UK is set for a shake-up as one of its judges, Mo Gilligan, will be replaced due to a scheduling conflict.
Mo was reportedly unable to film the final two episodes of the current series due to tour dates in the US. ITV has since enlisted two renowned personalities to join Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and newcomer Maya Jama on the panel.
Richard E Grant will step in for the semi-final on February 8, while last year's winner, Danny Jones - also known as Piranha - will join the panel for the grand finale on February 15.
The series has already seen a host of famous guest judges, including Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders, Vicky McClure, Suranne Jones, and Tom Daley. Olympic gold medallist Mo Farah also joined the panel after being revealed as Giant Joel in the season's opening episode.
The sixth series of The Masked Singer UK, now past its halfway mark on ITV, has viewers eagerly guessing the identities of the remaining characters.
Five celebrities have already been unmasked: Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway and Bake Off judge Prue Leith were first unveiled as Spag Bol and Pegasus, respectively, followed by 90s pop singer Macy Gray and T'Pau's Carol Decker, who were disclosed as Toad in the Hole and Tattoo.
Last weekend, Teeth and Bear were in the bottom two, with the judges ultimately deciding to eliminate Teeth, who turned out to be comedian and TV presenter Mel Giedroyc, reports .
After the big reveal, Mel exclaimed: "I'll take Su Pollard! It's so nice to see you guys. I love these teeth so much! I was very pleased with Alex Scott. Such a fun show. It's impossible not to have fun on this show."
In a follow-up chat on The After Mask with Harriet Rose, Mel confessed: "Listen, if you told me you're going to have a chance to sing the Neighbours theme tune dressed as an enormous pair of wind-up teeth with pink tights and big pink flapping feet, I would say I could stop my career now. For me, that is the pinnacle!"
The competition intensifies with seven characters left in the fray Bear, Bush, Dressed Crab, Kingfisher, Pufferfish, Snail, and Wolf. Anticipation heightens for the quarter-final set for broadcast on February 1 on ITV, where, in a series first, two characters will be revealed.
