The renowned singer, songwriter, actress, and Rolling Stones muse Marianne Faithfull died at the age of 78.
The legendary person who had a lasting impression on the music and entertainment industries passed away quietly in London, surrounded by her devoted family.

According to Deadline, Marianne Evelyn Gabriel Faithfull was born in Hampstead, London, on December 29, 1946. Her mother, Eva, was from an Austro-Hungarian aristocratic family, and her father, Major Robert Glynn Faithfull, was a British intelligence officer.
When she was around eighteen, she met Andrew Loog Oldham, the manager of the Rolling Stones, who assisted her in releasing her first album in 1965, which included the smash song “As Tears Go By,” which was co-written by Oldham, Mick Jagger, and Keith Richards.
“As Tears Go By” became Faithfull’s hallmark song, and the success of her self-titled first album catapulted her to stardom, particularly in the UK.
She quickly rose to prominence in Mod London and started a well-known relationship with Jagger, with whom she collaborated on several songs. ‘The Girl on a Motorcycle’ (1968) and ‘Hamlet’ (1969) were among the films in which she starred.

Today, Marianne died quietly in London, surrounded by her devoted family. According to Deadline, “she will be sorely missed.” Her son survives Faithfull.
