According to a report by Filmibeat Mamta once revealed in an interview that an actor had offered her a one-night stand while they were filming Barsaat. She mentioned that they first met through veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty who introduced them while they were staying at the same hotel. Over time they became friends and during one of their conversations he casually made the offer. However Mamta was aware of rumours that the actor was dating fellow actress Pooja Bhatt at the time.
