Delhi Assembly Polls 2025: Revised Metro Timings – Operations to Run from Early Morning to Late Night
New Delhi: Given the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, the metro services will start at 4 am. The revised schedule will be implemented on February 5 and 8. The decision has been taken to facilitate the staff deployed for election duty, a statement said on Monday.
According to the revised timings, the trains will start operations with a frequency of 30 minutes on all the lines till 6 am. After 6 am, regular metro train services will run throughout the day, it said. "On the day of the assembly election in Delhi on February 5 and vote counting day on February 8, Delhi Metro train services on all lines will start from their terminal stations at 4 am so that the staff deployed for election duty can avail the facility," the statement said.
Delhi Metro Timings Extended on Election and Result Day
Along with the early operations, the Delhi Metro train services will run late at night to facilitate the staff on election duty.
In addition, to facilitate the polling officials/staff returning late after election duty, the last metro services on all lines will be also extended on the intervening night of 5th/6th February 2025. The line's last train timings as extended for the day are mentioned in the table attached below.
Delhi Election Voting and Result Day
Delhi is set to cast votes on February 5, while the results will be declared on February 8. The extensive campaigning for the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 concluded on February 3 at 6 pm. On Monday, top leaders of all three major parties in the Delhi Polls foray -- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress -- held campaign rallies, giving hopes of development in the next five years if their respective party comes to the power.
