Reports had suggested that the versatile defender had turned down a Tottenham move as he instead prefers a transfer to Aston Villa. A switch to Villa Park is certainly appealing to the player as Unai Emery's side can offer him Champions League football and an increase in playing time following his Chelsea woes this term.

The fact that the Blues and Aston Villa are both competing for a top-four finish, though, throws a real spanner in the works for Disasi. Chelsea may be very reluctant to let him go to a rival club in the battle for a Champions League place as that could potentially prove rather costly come May.

, the majority of the defender's football will once again come in cup football as Trevoh Chalobah has also jumped ahead of him in the pecking order after his loan return from Crystal Palace. Aston Villa remain interested in Disasi but it will all come down to whether Chelsea elect to sanction a move to a rival club.
