My lip tattoo left me looking like a ‘Monsters, Inc.’ villain — but I don’t regret it

She and her big mouth got into a big mess.

Plumping up her pout with lip-blush tattooing initially sounded like a great idea to beauty buff Tash Evans.

However, when the Gen Zer’s lips ballooned to five times their natural size, she realized her jaw-dropping mistake.

“Nobody shows you this side of getting lip blush,” Evans, 21, from the UK, wrote in the closed captions of a trending post featuring her overly puffy pie-hole.

She sat for a lip blush tat on Jan. 18, entrusting a local practitioner to add color and definition to her mouth with a specialized needle.

But her reaction to the inking — a nightmarish effect that scarred up over 2.2 million TikTok views — left Evans resembling a creepy cartoon character from Disney and Pixar’s “Monsters, Inc.”

Evans and others who’ve experienced severe swelling from lip blush tattoos jokingly likened themselves to a deformed character from Pixar’s “Monsters, Inc.” Disney

“BRB,” she added, “Lips are en route to the Michelin Man’s family reunion.”

It’s a treat-yourself treatment that’s blown up in her face — literally.

But Evans isn’t the only aspiring glamor gal who’s accidentally fouled up her face in the pursuit of prettiness.

Wannabe belles in NYC and beyond are temporarily transforming into “reptiles” via bio-rejuvenation. Better known as mesotherapy, it’s a cosmetic procedure that involves injecting a cocktail of vitamins, enzymes, hormones and plant extracts under the eyes to tighten skin and remove excess fat.

However, experts warn that the “dangerous” jabs, which cause lizard-like patches around the eyes, can result in grave complications such as necrosis and permanent sight damage.

Similar to Evans, Whitney Leavitt was also left looking like a “monster” after getting a lip blush tattoo.

“It’s giving Jeff Fungus from ‘Monsters, Inc.,’” joked Leavitt while placing her distended kisser on display for social media. In the 2001 kiddie flick, Fungus, an assistant ghoul to the main monsters, gets his lips stuck in a “scream machine,” which causes them to overinflate.

Evans feels the blush did the same to her mien.

Despite critiques from family and friends, Evans chose not to pursue medical intervention for her inflamed mouth. Jam Press

“I had a jump scare when I looked at myself in the mirror,” the Brit told NeedToKnow of her super enlarged lips.

“All I could see was the character from ‘Monsters, Inc.,’ when he gets stuck in the machine,” she continued, also likening herself to the fictitious Fungus.

But Evans, who had filler injections last year, was surprised by the intense and immediate swelling she sustained after lip blushing.

“They started swelling as soon as she started doing it,” said the brunette of her yap, which was numbed during the procedure.

“I didn’t realize how bad it was,” confessed Evans. “I didn’t know my lips could go that big.”

And the reaction from her loved ones wasn’t too pretty.

“My mom said how ‘ugly’ I looked,” said Evans, adding that her dad agreed, saying she “didn’t need it.”

“When my boyfriend saw me, we both burst out laughing and he shut the door on me,” she said.

The shunning from those closest to her notwithstanding, the bulbous beauty doesn’t blame the person who administered the ink.

Evans kept social media fans updated on her healing process, which spanned several days. Jam Press

“The lady who did it said the swelling would go down by the evening, but it took about two days,” said Evans, whose lips have since deflated. “I don’t think it’s the practitioner’s fault. She was really nice and responded promptly to my messages.”

And, thankfully, Evans was able to keep her monster-ish mouth under wraps until they healed.

“I had to wear a mask to [UK supermarket] Asda,” she said. “Luckily I [took] the day off work on Monday for my boyfriend’s birthday.”

Now with her desired results, Evans says lip blush tattooing was the “best” decision she’s ever made. Jam Press

And despite being flooded with advice from concerned commenters — cyber strangers who begged her to seek medical attention — Evans is glad she didn’t go crying to the doctor.

“People were saying it’s an allergic reaction and were telling me to go to [the emergency room],” she said. “I wasn’t going to do that.

“There are more important people who need [the emergency],” added the pinup, insisting that her bloated lips weren’t in pain.

“I’m happy with the results and color now the swelling has gone down,” gushed Evans, calling lip blush the “best thing I’ve ever done.

“Now they look great.”
