Myles Lewis-Skelly in line for England debut after Arsenal wonderkid impresses Thomas Tuchel

Myles Lewis-Skelly is on ’s radar ahead of a potential senior call-up.

teenager Lewis-Skelly, 18, has been in exceptional form and is certain to have caught England boss ’s eye on scouting missions to watch the Gunners. Lewis-Skelly has not even won an under-21s cap and so it would be a big statement to fast track him straight into a senior squad.

But left back is a big issue for England and is an area that Tuchel will be keen to solve ahead of the back-to-back World Cup qualifiers with Albania and Latvia next month. ’s Lewis Hall was involved last year and is seen as an England regular of the future after impressing earlier in the season.

Rico Lewis has also played there but has fallen down the pecking order at while has just returned to fitness at but has been plagued by injuries.

Arsenal will be keen to ensure that Lewis-Skelly is not promoted too fast but, on current form, he will be in Tuchel’s mind.

Former England boss always observed the St George’s Park pathway despite promoting young players but Tuchel is on an 18 month contract to win the World Cup and will want his best players involved now.

It will be a dilemma ahead of Tuchel’s first squad next month but he has caught the eye as the best young left back in the country.

Tuchel flew to Italy last weekend to watch the Milan derby and is keeping an eye on who is desperate to remain in England’s plans.

Walker, 34, actually rang Tuchel before making the switch to AC Milan last month to make sure going abroad would not affect his England chances. Tuchel clearly gave the answer he was looking for and Walker went to Milan on loan to revitalise his glittering career.

But Walker also has a dream of reaching 100 caps and is currently seven away from the target. Tuchel tried to sign Walker while in charge at but the move did not happen and there are unlikely to be any hard feelings.

Inter grabbed an injury time leveller to snatch a 1-1 draw in the Milan derby with Tuchel watching on. Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham - who have both played for England - also played in the game.
