Dravid, known for his calm and composed demeanour, was visibly upset by the incident and was seen arguing with the auto driver in Kannada. What he said couldn’t be ascertained due to the muffled audio quality.
The incident has sparked a debate among fans. Some believed Dravid was involved in an accident, and others opined it might be staged, recalling Dravid's famous ‘Indiranagar ka Gunda’ advertisement, where he humorously portrayed an angry man stuck in traffic.

“Looks like an ad shoot. Public going without noticing Dravid, without taking selfies or helping him. Even auto driver will not debate with Dravid and take selfie and thank him. All paid artists,” wrote one user.
“But the thing here is, why didn't people gather in large numbers just to see him as he is the legendary of the cricket, worried as a fan of the wall of cricket. In his place if Virat/Sachin would have been there then it could have been a different situation altogether,” commented a second person.
