The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued a new notice informing the candidates of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025 and Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination 2025 about the changes made in updating the OTR profile in the application forms. According to the notice, candidates who have registered in the OTR profile to apply for the Civil Services Examination and IFS examination can make amendments to their application form from 12 to 18 February 2025. The last date to apply for both these exams is 11 February 2025.
The official notification states, 'If the candidate wants to make any changes in his OTR profile (registration), he will be allowed to do so only once after registration on the OTR platform. If the candidate applies for this exam for the first time after registration, the last date for amendment in the OTR profile will be 18 February 2025'.

Changes can be made only once
Candidates should note, after registration on the OTR platform, all such changes can be made only once in a lifetime. Apart from this, candidates should also keep in mind that under no circumstances will they be allowed to change their email ID.
When will you be able to apply?
Candidates can apply for the UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025 and Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination 2025 till 11 February. The application process started on 22 January. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website of UPSC upsc.gov.in. The preliminary examination for both these services will be conducted on 25 May 2025.
How many posts are vacant
This time UPSC has released recruitment for 979 posts for civil services, out of which 38 posts are reserved for candidates of benchmark disability category. It is being said that this is the lowest vacancy in the last 4 years.
