TV buffs have been absolutely hooked on a fresh crime series that's taken the small screen by storm, despite only making its debut in late January.

High Potential spins the tale of Morgan (played by Kaitlin Olson), a single mum scrubbing floors for the Los Angeles Police Department. But it's her sky-high IQ that catapults her into a consulting gig with the Homicide Division.
Created by Drew Goddard and inspired by the French series HPI, High Potential has not only captivated audiences but also secured a second season renewal from ABC, announced back in January.
The cast features a stellar lineup including Kaitlin Olson, Daniel Sunjatas, Javicia Leslie, Deniz Akdeniz, Amirah J, Matthew Lamb, and Judy Reyes, reports .
The official synopsis teases: "High Potential follows a single mom with an exceptional mind, whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective."
Disney+ subscribers are raving about the series, with many hailing it as the "best" show, and some even dubbing it their top pick for 2025. A social media user gushed: "#HighPotential is easily the best new broadcast show of the 2024-25 season. The other new shows don't even come close. Beyond thrilled for Kaitlin Olson, who's finally been given a starring vehicle worthy of her talent."
One fan gushed: "It's so fun and clever and the cast and characters are amazing! !" while another viewer exclaimed: "I'm now eight episodes into #HighPotential and it may just be my new favourite show of the year. It's definitely a fun new spin on the Sherlock formula."
Kaitlin expressed her gratitude to fans for their unwavering support of High Potential, which has been confirmed for a second series.
In her heartfelt message, she didn't forget to mention the LA wildfires, saying: "Life is wild. Natural disasters don't realize they shouldn't happen at the same time as my show getting picked up for another season. Plan better, fires. Don't make me look like an a*****e."
She continued with thanks: "Thank you all for watching. Thank you @abc for the immeasurable support. I'm filled with gratitude. (For this, for the @losangelesfiredepartment and for neighbors coming together like I've never seen. I [love] you, LA)."
