Free Ration Scheme: The Himachal Pradesh government has given a big relief to the ration card holders of the state by deciding to give three months' quota of mustard oil together in February. The Food Supply Corporation has completed the tender process in this regard and the supply order has also been issued to the companies. This will provide relief to the consumers. Because for the last three months, oil was not being supplied to the depot.

Oil prices fixed for ration card consumers

The government has fixed the price of mustard oil for ration card consumers. APL and poor families will get oil at Rs 146 per liter. While consumers paying income tax will be given it at the rate of Rs 153 per liter. This oil will be about Rs 30-35 cheaper than the market price, which will provide financial relief to consumers.

Demand of depot holders

To improve the supply of mustard oil, the depot holders will take information from the consumers about their needs in advance. On this basis, oil will be made available to them as per their requirement. This decision will benefit those people who need extra oil for family functions.

Oil was not available for three months, now relief will be available from February

Ration card holders of Himachal Pradesh were not getting oil for the last three months. After the tender process was cancelled four times, this tender has been finalised in the fifth attempt. The government has decided to solve this problem and start the supply of mustard oil from the first week of February.

19.5 lakh ration card families will get benefit in Himachal Pradesh

A total of 19.5 lakh families in Himachal Pradesh are covered under ration cards. They are given subsidized ration by the government. Essential commodities like wheat, rice, pulses, salt, sugar and oil are made available to these consumers at cheap rates. The central government provides wheat and rice, while the state government grinds the wheat and makes flour and gives it to the consumers.

Statement of Food Supply Corporation regarding supply of oil

Food Supply Corporation Director Rajeshwar Goyal said that consumers will get mustard oil for three months at once in February. He said that the government is taking special care that ration card holders get all the essential commodities on time and do not face any kind of problem.

This decision of the government will provide great relief to lakhs of ration card holders of Himachal Pradesh. For a long time, people were facing problems due to shortage of oil in the depots. But now consumers will get relief by getting three months of oil together. Also, with the start of tender process for refined oil, there will be no shortage of oil in future.
