The central and state governments are running various schemes to improve the economic condition of farmers and provide financial security to them. One of these important schemes is Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan).

Under this scheme, the Government of India provides financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per year to eligible farmers, which are distributed directly to their bank accounts in three installments. So far 18 installments have been released and millions of farmers are now eagerly waiting for the 19th installment.

19th installment on 24 February

According to media reports, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 19th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana during the visit of Bihar on 24 February. He will participate in agricultural programs and launch several development initiatives of the state.

It is important to keep in mind that it is mandatory to complete e-KYC to get benefits under the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Scheme. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 18th installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme on 15 October 2024.

How to register for PM Kisan Yojana?
Eligible farmers will have to provide their Aadhaar card, evidence of citizenship, land ownership documents, bank account details and to complete the e-KYC process to register for the scheme.

Register online through the official PM-Kisan portal
Go to the nearest Common Service Center (CSC) for assistance
Contact the nominated nodal officers of the state government
Contact local patwari or revenue officials for help

Step 1: Visit the official website of the scheme PMKISAN.GOV.in
Step 2: Click on the status link displayed on the homepage
Step 3: Choose from two options: Check the situation using your mobile number or registration ID
Step 4: Enter the code displayed on the screen with the required and correct details
Step 5: Click on “Get Data” tab to see your position
