Shoppers who are looking to make their home smell lush on a budget can now pick up a range of candles and luxury diffusers in that have scents likened to those by iconic lifestyle brand Rituals. And if you use the Lidl Plus App, you can bag the products for an even cheaper price.

Lidl's Ceremony of Scent collection features three fragrances; Green Garden, Dark Oud or Rich Amber, all of which come in luxe styled packaging, making them a great gift. Shoppers can choose between the or the , both priced at £3.99.

However, if you download the Lidl Plus app and head to store before February 12, you can save 15% on candles and diffusers from Lidl's Deluxe range, taking the price down to just £3.39.

By comparison, a regular sized scented candle in Rituals costs £24.90, although the product is slightly larger at 290g versus Lidl's at 200g. Ritual's mini diffuser sticks are usually £18.90, but shoppers can get them on offer at the moment for £14.50. The mini size is 70ml versus Lidl's product which is 100ml.

Fans have taken to social media to discuss the similarities between the Lidl versions and Rituals. In a video comment, one said: "I bought the green one and it’s exactly the same scent as the rituals green one" - referring to Rituals' The Ritual of Jing collection. The Green Garden scent is a mixture of freesia, sandalwood, and dry amber.

"I’m running to Lidl right now!" said another in excitement. Another video showed off the unpackaged diffusers which come in a box with a care card. "Its giving high end diffuser vibes", the caption read.
