In this article we will discuss the inspirational journey of Rahul Rai an IIT Bombay dropout and now a co-founder of Google-backed Stealth Startup. As per his LinkedIn profile Rahul Rai an IIT Bombay dropout from 2015 left his engineering degree midway to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Economics at The Wharton School University of Pennsylvania. This marked a bold shift from engineering to economics in his academic journey. Meet man who left IIT Bombay without completing his course earned Rs 2860000000 in just 150 days by...; now founded… Speaking about his work experience Rahul worked with Macro Hedge Funds at Morgan Stanley from July 2019 to March 2020 for a period of 9 months. In 2020 Rahul left his job and returned to India to pursue his entrepreneurial dreams. Once back in India he followed his interest in decentralized finance (DeFi) and after conducting extensive research co-founded Gamma Point Capital in January 2021. He launched the company alongside Eash Aggarwal and Sanat Rao. Gamma Point Capital the crypto hedge fund co-founded by Rahul focuses on investing in digital assets and blockchain technology. This venture reflects his passion for innovation and his commitment to transforming the financial sector. Rahul Rais venture Gamma Point Capital quickly found success and just five months after its founding (roughly 150 days) it was acquired by BlockTower Capital for Rs 286 crore (USD 35 million) in May 2021. While the decision to sell was a challenging one it proved to be a strategic move that brought significant wealth to the co-founders in a short time. After the acquisition Rai took on the role of Co-Head of Market-Neutral at BlockTower Capital where he now manages investments in crypto assets and blockchain technology as part of a multi-strategy crypto hedge fund. His achievements earned him a spot on the Forbes India 30 Under 30 list in 2023. Rahul co-founded Stealth Startup in April 2023.
