During an episode of India’s Got Latent Ranveer made certain remarks that have sparked criticism with Samay laughing along. This has led to demands for an FIR to be registered against both of them. Both content creators have millions of followers are currently facing backlash over their controversial comments. Viewers have labelled Ranveer’s remarks as vulgar inappropriate and offensive. Since Samay as the shows host also participated in the conversation and used objectionable language complaints have been filed against him as well. During the COVID-19 pandemic he gained massive popularity for his online chess commentary. Coming from a Kashmiri Pandit family Samay has built a strong social media following with 5.9 million Instagram followers and 7.33 million YouTube subscribers.
