New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won the Delhi elections with a decisive mandate, winning 48 out of 70 assembly seats, defeating the incumbent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), setting the stage for the saffron party's comeback after 27 years. The party, which has been given an undisputed mandate by the people of Delhi, is now brainstorming on the next CM candidate. The BJP, which has often come up with surprise names when it comes to the choice of CM, could well be on their way to giving another one, sources have told Times Now. The party will choose a CM from the chosen MLAs only, sources have said, adding that one of the four women MLAs could be chosen for the top post.

If Delhi gets a woman CM, it would be the first in 11 years after Congress' Sheila Dikshit - the woman who served Delhi for 15 long years.
Atishi, the only winner among the top leaders, resigned from the Chief Minister post on Sunday. She became CM after the Supreme Court put conditions while giving bail to Kejriwal that he wouldn't be signing any files.
Concentrating on social engineering, the saffron party is likely to appoint a deputy CM also. If sources are to be believed, the entire cabinet for the Delhi government may have a significant women and Dalit representation.
One of the top contenders for the CM post is Parvesh Sahib Verma, who defeated Arvind Kejriwal from the New Delhi seat, becoming the man of the moment on Delhi election results day. Parvesh Verma's father, Sahib Singh Verm, was the Chief Minister of Delhi.
Many top big guns of the AAP failed to fi,e including Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, Avadh Ojha and Saurabh Bhard,w wasamong others.
One of the names on the BJP's list, as sources suggest,isf Bansuri Swaraj, the daughter of Delhi's first CM and former External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj.
