The third and final ODI of the ongoing three-match series between India and England is currently underway at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. England captain Jos Buttler has won the toss and invited India to bat first. In the last match of the bilateral series, both India and England players are wearing green armbands as part of BCCI’s initiative ‘Donate Organs, Save Lives.’

“The two teams are wearing green armbands to support BCCI’s initiative “Donate Organs, Save Lives". The initiative is spearheaded by ICC Chairman Mr Jay Shah. Pledge, spread the word, and let’s be a part of something truly meaningful," BCCI tweeted on Wednesday.

ICC Chairman Jay Shah posted a tweet about the launch of the initiative on Monday (February 10).

“On the occasion of the 3rd ODI between India and England in Ahmedabad on February 12th, we are proud to launch an awareness initiative—"Donate Organs, Save Lives." Sport has the power to inspire, unite, and create lasting impact beyond the field. Through this initiative, we urge everyone to take a step towards giving the greatest gift of all—the gift of life. One pledge, one decision, can save multiple lives. Let’s come together and make a difference! #DonateOrgansSaveLives #INDvENG," Shah had tweeted.

India has made three changes to the playing XI for the third ODI. In place of Ravindra Jadeja, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Mohammed Shami, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, and Arshdeep Singh are playing on Wednesday.

While speaking to Ravi Shastri during the toss, Indian captain Rohit Sharma said that while Jadeja and Shami are rested for the third ODI, Chakaravarthy was not available for selection due to a sore calf.

England has also made one change to its playing XI. In place of all-rounder Jamie Overton, Tom Banton is playing at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Banton was added to England’s squad on Sunday as a cover for Jacob Bethell, who is out of the ongoing series due to a hamstring injury.
