Born as Nandita Arvind Morarji Nagma used to be one of the lead acting during the 90s. Nagmas mother divorced her father and married Chander Sadanah a film producer with whom she had three children including two daughters actresses Jyothika and Roshini. Nagmas mother was Muslim and her father was Hindu. She was inclined towards Christianity so in 2007 she converted to Christianity and started reading the Bible. As a result even Nagma turned towards Christianity in 2007. Nagma made her cinematic debut with Salman Khan in the film Baaghi. The movie turned out to be a huge hit and became the seventh highest-grossing film of the year giving all the stardom to Nagma. Over the years Nagma acted in N number of movies and even in different language ages including Telugu Hindi Tamil and Bhojpuri films. The actress has shared the screen with Chiranjeevi and Rajinikanth in films like Gharana Mogudu and Baashha. Apart from making headlines in professional life Nagma also made headlines due to personal life. Nagmas name was associated with former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly. They met during the World Cup in 1999. Several reports claim that the duo were spotted together sparking a lot of rumours about the duo. However the duo broke off after the cricketers wife got to know about their relationship. Later Nagma reportedly fell in love with actor Sharath Kumar. However even he was also married. Interestingly Nagmas name was also associated with underworld don Anees Ibrahim. Post her personal life controversies Nagma said goodbye to Bollywood and joined politics in 2004. In 2004 she campaigned in Andhra Pradesh after deciding to join the Congress. As a Congress candidate she ran from Meerut in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and received 42911 votes placing her in fourth place.
