Russia-Ukraine War : There are signs of the long-running war between Ukraine and Russia coming to an end. On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump first spoke with Russian President Putin regarding the Ukraine-Russia war, and then with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
This information was given by Trump and Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky through a post on social media. After Donald Trump's talks with the Presidents of Russia and Ukraine, there are chances of the Russia-Ukraine war coming to an end.
It is worth noting that on 24 February 2025, it will be three years since the war between Ukraine and Russia started. This war, which was started by Russia by attacking Ukraine on 24 February 2022, is the biggest war after the Second World War. In which thousands of people lost their lives and the whole of Ukraine was devastated and Russia has suffered military losses on a large scale.

Trump also shared through social media what he had talked about with Russian President Putin. Trump wrote that he had a meaningful conversation with Putin over the phone... We talked about Ukraine and the Middle East among other topics. Trump said that we remembered the millions of people who were killed in the Second World War. In this war, both America and Russia saw millions of their citizens die.

Trump further wrote, "I am confident that we will succeed. Millions of people have died in a war that would not have happened if I were President, but it did, so it must end. No more lives must be lost! I want to thank President Putin for his time and effort in this call and for the release of Mark Fogel yesterday... I believe this effort will soon reach a successful conclusion!"
What did Trump discuss with Ukrainian President Zelensky?
Ukrainian President Zelensky wrote about his conversation with US President Trump in his post on X, "I had a fruitful conversation with Donald Trump. We talked at length about the opportunities for achieving peace. Apart from this, we talked about our readiness to work together on a team level and Ukraine's technical capabilities.
Ukrainian President said that we discussed Ukraine's technical capabilities including drones and advanced industries. We can work together. He further wrote that I am grateful to President Trump. Trump has shown interest in this.
Ukrainian President Zelensky further wrote that we met with Secretary Scott Besant and talked about preparation of a new document on security, economic cooperation and resource sharing.
President Trump also shared with me the details of his conversation with Putin. He further wrote, "No one wants peace more than Ukraine. Together with the US, we are outlining our next steps to stop Russian aggression and ensure lasting, reliable peace. As President Trump said, let's get it done." He further wrote, "We agreed to maintain further contact and plan upcoming meetings."
