Ravi Bhatia known for shows such as Ishq Subhan Allah, Jodha Akbar, and Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se recently survived a car accident in Mumbai. The incident, on February 10, took place near the army area of Malad West, INS Hamla at Madh road, when he was headed to Aksa beach with his friends. Although his vehicle was seriously damaged, Ravi and his friends survived the crash with minor injuries.
The actor gave an account of the accident during a conversation with The Times of India. He noted that his car collided with a temp around 4:30 pm. Before this, it slid on the road and crashed into the wall twice.
The actor also shared pictures of his injuries and his damaged car expressing how serious the accident could be. Giving an update about his condition, he mentioned that he survived with minor injuries, despite the intensity of the accident. He said, “I didn’t get hurt much. I have some injuries and burn marks, but they are recovering. Thankfully, nothing major happened.” The 36 year old however added that his car was severely damaged.
Later in the interview, Ravi also said that the particular turn was an accident-prone area. He emphasised that his speed was within a normal range, around 45 km/h, but the hazardous turn played a major role in the accident.
He said, “The army personnel stationed there mentioned that accidents frequently occur at that particular turn.”
He also expressed gratitude towards Mumbai Police and army personnel in the area for coming to the rescue of him and his friends. They also helped in towing the damaged vehicle.
Reflecting on the incident, Ravi said that he is recovering and would continue to remain optimistic. However, it also made him acknowledge the unpredictable nature of life. “It was a close call, but I am grateful to be safe. Accidents like these remind us how fragile life is,” he said.
