Block 119 Apps in India: The Government of India has ordered Google Play Store to block 119 foreign apps in view of cyber security. Some of the apps that Google Play Store have been ordered to block are also connected to countries like Singapore, US, UK and Australia. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has issued orders in this regard under section 69A of the IT Act.

According to media reports, the 119 foreign apps that the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has ordered to block the most, mostly video and voice chat apps. This action has been taken under section 69A of the IT Act that gives the government the right to block such content or platforms that may be a threat to national security or public system. According to Bussiness, despite the order, only 15 of 119 apps have been removed so far. The rest of the apps are still available on Google Play Store for download.

The report also stated that some of these apps developers say that Google has informed them about this. He is ready to work with the Government of India to resolve this issue. Block apps include Changapp, Honeycam and Chillchat. Developers say that the government's order will also have a big impact along with their business. At the same time, some are ready to work with the Government of India.
