Real Madrid will head into the first leg in a confident mood after they recorded a 2-0 victory in Sunday’s home league game against Girona to move back level on points with The League leaders Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Real Sociedad finished the most recent round of La Liga action in ninth position after they swept past relegation-threatened Leganes by a 3-0 scoreline.
La Real will now be looking to make full use of home advantage in Wednesday’s first leg as they continue their bid to win the Copa del Rey for the fourth time, while Real Madrid have aspirations of winning the competition for the 21st time in their history.

Real Madrid have proven to be a tough team to beat in recent league meetings, having lost just one of their previous 11 La Liga games against La Real (D3, L7).
