Former BJP state president CP Joshi will head the 15-member petition committee of Lok Sabha

Jaipur: CP Joshi, a former Rajasthan BJP state president and Chittorgarh MP, has been proposed to lead the Lok Sabha’s Petition Committee. MP Joshi will serve as the head of the 15-member Lok Sabha Petition Committee, which would also include 14 other MPs.

Anto Antony, Sukhdev Bhagat, Raju Bista, Gurmeet Singh, Bastipati Nagaraju, Dr. Rajkumar Sangwan, Kamaljeet Shehrawat, Manju Sharma, Vishnu Dutt Sharma, Abhay Kumar Sinha, Rajmohan Unnithan, and Mitesh Patel Bakabhai are among the members.

At the moment, MP Joshi serves on both the Parliamentary Energy Committee and the Public Undertakings Committee. The Joint Committee on the Multi-State Cooperative Society (Amendment) Bill, 2022, was chaired by him in the past.

In resolving public complaints filed via petitions, the Lok Sabha’s Petition Committee is essential.

Its duties include assessing ministry viewpoints, analyzing petitions, requesting government replies, writing reports, suggesting measures, and making sure people’s rights are respected.

Following his appointment to the position of Chairman of the Lok Sabha’s Petition Committee, Rajasthani politician CP Joshi conveyed his appreciation.

He praised Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Home Minister Amit Shah for their confidence and support in a post on X.

According to a post on X, CP Joshi also went to the hamlet of Mayra in the Chittorgarh assembly seat on Monday to examine the opium harvest. He engaged with local residents during his tour and took part in the opium fields’ chirai (harvesting) operation.
