Meanwhile, a shocking case came to light, where a Chinese company threatened to get its unmarried employees out of their job if they did not marry. Let us tell you that this case is to the Shantian Chemical Group Company of Shantian Province in Eastern China. The company made an announcement in January, saying that all unmarried or divorced employees between 28 and 58 years should marry as soon as possible and have children by settling their homes.
The company aims to encourage employees to marry so that the marriage rate increases. As per the instructions issued by the company, if employees do not marry by the end of June, they will be evaluated and unmarried people will be fired by September. Seeing this dispute growing, the company withdrew the rule on 13 February and called it a mistake. Senior officials of the company admitted that it was a violation of China's labor laws.
