Thane: Three people, including a girl and a woman, were burn injured in a gas cylinder explosion following a leak in a house in the Mohane area of Ambivli on Tuesday morning.
The blaze was so huge that the belongings around it were also damaged. The incident occurred on Tuesday at 7:00 am in Mahatma Phule Nagar, Ambivli, when the fire broke out in the house.
A fire brigade official said, "The fire was so huge that the entire belongings of the house were burned and damaged. Three people - Anita Jadhav (38), her daughter Mahima Jadhav (12), and a neighbor, Vijay Tandel - were also injured."
The fire brigade team rushed to the spot. The injured have been taken to the hospital, where doctors referred them to another hospital in Mumbai.
Namdev Choudhary, chief fire officer of KDMC, said, "We received information about a fire. One fire tender rushed to the spot, and the fire was extinguished within 20 minutes. Prima facie, it reveals a leakage in the gas cylinder, which led to a fire erupting in the house and caused three injuries."
