Carrie Coon has taken to social media to jokingly react to confusion about the status of her marriage after the White Lotus actress opened up about it on a podcast.
In a post on X Tuesday, Coon told the internet to “settle down,” and joked that comments she said were aimed to mean that she and her husband were open minded, and not “open” in a relationship sense.
During a recent appearance on the WTF with Marc Maron Podcast, Coon opened up about her marriage to Tracy Letts, noting that the pair talk about everything, including who the pair are attracted to.
“That’s the nice thing about a marriage where everything’s on the table: you talk about everything,” Coon said. “We’re not jealous people. Like, we don’t have any of those hang-ups. So we never wanna be like, the police. You know? So it’s nice to be in a relationship where we can always talk about, like, ‘Who are you attracted to on set?’”
When Maron reacted in shock, Coon said that it was “fun” to do, and that Letts isn’t opposed to opening up about who he might have a “crush on” during a particular project. “It’s so fun,” said Coon. “I love it. Tracy’s the kind of person who notices every single woman on the street… And he always tells me who he has a crush on. It’s fun. It’s interesting to know what your partner’s into. I think it’s titillating.”
Maron asked if things ever cross a line, to which Coon joked that “lines are really boring.” The comments quickly caused social media to begin theorizing that Coon and Letts had an open marriage of some sort.
