In many Indian cities, rent has become so high that people struggle to afford even a small house. This issue is even more pronounced in major cities abroad. Troubled by escalating rent prices, one woman has found an unconventional solution to save money, as she has chosen to become homeless. She now sleeps at her office and uses the gym to shower.

According to a report on The Sun website, Destiny, a resident of Britain with over 17,000 TikTok followers, recently posted a viral video sharing a surprising aspect of her life. In the video, she explains that she is living a homeless life, spending her nights in a small cabin at her office and using the gym facilities for bathing.
Destiny was paying Rs 1.7 lakh every month on rent and other expenses, leaving her unable to save money as a significant portion of her income went towards housing costs. Frustrated by this situation, she decided to embrace homelessness by choice.
Initially, she lived in her car, but the lack of air conditioning and the heat made it unsustainable. Eventually, she decided to speak to her manager about her situation.

With her manager’s permission, she began sleeping in a small cabin at the office, which has a recliner chair where she sleeps most nights. She also signed up for a Rs 1,600 gym membership for morning showers and other necessities.

Destiny even does her makeup at the office. For online shopping, she orders from Amazon and collects her parcels from the company’s pick-up location. The office is equipped with a microwave and a fridge, which she uses to store and heat her food. She asserts that she is homeless by choice, allowing her to avoid paying rent.
