CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) recently released new guidelines regarding the class 10 board exams but the guidelines have created a lot of confusion regarding the Punjabi language being removed from the regional and foreign language list. However, the board officials have clarified the confusion and said all the languages will be available in the list, including Punjabi for the upcoming exam.The confusion is caused because of tweets roaming around on social media.After viewing the list, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains shared a video on X where raised concern regarding this change and said, Punjabi should be declared as the primary language in Punjab and included as a regional language in CBSE for the rest of the country, as it is widely spoken and read in several states."We strongly object to CBSE’s new exam pattern scheme, which attempts to erase Punjabi! Punjabi must be designated as the main language in Punjab and further be included as a regional language in CBSE for rest of the nation, as it is spoken and read across multiple states. Any attack on Punjabi will not be tolerated!," Harjot Singh Bains wrote on X.CBSE clarifies the allegationAccording to media reports, officials have clarified that there has been no change in the subjects offered. The list of subjects provided in the new exam scheme is merely signifying, and all subjects currently available, including Punjabi, will continue to be offered in the upcoming board examinations.Draft Scheme for class 10 two examinationCBSE has introduced this initiative to make learning stress-free for the students and parents. As per the new guidelines, the examination will be conducted twice a year and practical and internal exams will be held once a year.The board has also released a public draft form on the official website of CBSE. This form is for all stakeholders, including schools, teachers, parents, students, and others.
