Whatsapp Transcript Feature News In Hindi: Whatsapp has started rolling out its voice message transcript in India. This feature announced in November last year uses on-device processing to create a text transcript of the obtained voice message. This feature has started appearing on WhatsApp's Android app and is expected to be available on the iOS app soon.
Additionally, support for Hindi language is not available as a transcript language option. However, this feature is showing text transcript for voice notes recorded in Hindi. Officially listed language options include English, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian.
WhatsApp Voice Message Transcript: Description
Whatsapp's voice message transcription feature allows users to read the transcript of voice messages received. Whatsapp said that this feature will facilitate users to continue their conversation, no matter where they are and they are doing anything.
Meta -owned instant messaging platform said that transcripts are fully prepared on the device, and even WhatsApp does not have access to audio or text. This feature can also be manually enabled and disabled through a new “voice message transcript” option within the chat menu in the app setting.
How to enable voice message transcript
Voice messages are disabled by transcript default. To enable the facility, follow these steps:
Open WhatsApp settings.
Tap on “Chat”.
Scroll down to “voice message transcript” and enable it.
Tap on “Choose Language”, then choose your favorite language from listed options.
Tap “Set up now” or “Wait for Wi-Fi”.
You can change the transcript language by tapping on more options> Settings> Chat> Chat at any time.
To tap the voice note in the chat, keep the voice message by tapping, then tap on the more option> Transcribe. The text transcript will be displayed in the text box similar to the voice note.
