Rockstar is probably one of the best performances of Ranbir Kapoor. The film is till date remembered for its fascinating narrative and soulful music. However not many know that Kapoor was not the first choice for director Imtiaz Ali. In fact it was John Abraham who was first offered the role of Janardhan Jakhar! And I remembered that before I became an actor I had heard that John Abraham was doing Rockstar but that did not happen and it got shelved I don’t know for what reason. The next time Ranbir met Imtiaz he asked him about Rockstar So he said the guy who wrote the story for Rockstar he himself wanted to direct and act in it so for that reason he did not make the film.
