Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani and his company Reliance Industries are making big plans in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). During his visit to Assam today Mukesh Ambani announced major AI-related initiatives revealing that Reliance is set to make a significant investment in this sector. Mukesh Ambani shared that Reliance Industries plans to build AI-ready data centers in Assam. Speaking at the Advantage Assam 2.0 investor summit he described Assam as a land of opportunities and emphasized its potential for growth. Focus on five key sectors Reliance’s investment in AI and data centers will benefit several crucial sectors in Assam including education healthcare and agriculture. Over the next five years the company has committed to investing Rs. 50000 crore in the state. Ambani highlighted five priority sectors for investment: AI and Technology Green Energy Agriculture and Food Processing Retail Hospitality and Tourism By focusing on these industries Reliance aims to generate thousands of job opportunities for Assam’s youth. Assam: From tea heaven to tech heaven During his speech Mukesh Ambani noted that Assam is globally recognized for its tea often called the tea heaven. However he believes that in the future Assam will also be known as a technology heaven. He praised the tech-savvy youth of Assam and stated that in the coming decades AI won’t just stand for Artificial Intelligence but also for Assam Intelligence. A strong history of investment Reliance has a history of investing in Assam. Back in 2008 at a previous investor summit the company committed Rs. 5000 crore to the state. Since then its total investment in Assam has already exceeded Rs. 12000 crore. During his visit Mukesh Ambani also took time to seek blessings at the revered Kamakhya Devi temple
