You must have seen wax melting, but have you ever seen the stone melting? The answer will come in your no. However, when you ever come to Chitrakoot in Uttar Pradesh, then your confusion will also be removed. Then you will say with the claim that stones also melt. Goswami Tulsidas ji has also said the same thing in his great book Shri Ram Charit Manas. Yes, we are talking about the Bharat Milap site of Chitrakoot.
Seeing the love of Lord Rama and his younger brother here, the mountains and stones started melting there. These melted stones are still safe in Chitrakoot. They come from far and wide to see them and fate these stones fortunate. To understand the good fortune of these stones, we have to follow that episode. In fact, Ayodhya Naresh Chakravarti Ji Maharaj Dasaratha gave 14 years of exile to Lord Rama and the rule of Ayodhya to Bharata at the behest of his wife Kekai.
On the orders of the father, God also came to the forest of Chitrakoot via Shringverpur. Here, his younger brother Bharat came back from Nanihal and when he came to know the whole story, he came to Chitrakoot to convince God. Seeing his love for Lord Rama and renunciation towards the rule of Ayodhya, the people of Ayodhya could not stop themselves from crying. Goswami Tulsidas ji, Shri Ram Charit Manas even says that the creatures and trees also started crying. Even in the love of Rama and Bharat, the stones and mountains started melting. In the mans, Tulsidas ji has written that-
'Dravahin Bachan Sunisu Kulis Pashana. Purjan pemu na jai bakhana॥
Beach Bas Kari Jamunmuhin came. Nirkhi Neeru Lochan Water
It was the condition of stones that in many places, the stones were formed to the feet of Lord Rama and Bharat. Pandit Shivbaran, the priest of Bharat Milap site in Chitrakoot, says that all the three folk were moved by seeing the union of Lord Ram and Bharat ji and their love. Whatever was the root became conscious and conscious became root. He told that he is still present in Chitrakoot and is testifying to the mutual love of Lord Ram and Bharat ji. Here, when Lord Rama refused to return to Ayodhya, praying to perform his duties, Bharat ji returned with his feet.
