have announced they're launching a new celebrity prank show, which could replace the hole in the schedule left by Saturday Night Takeaway.
After 20 years on air, Saturday Night Takeaway, hosted by Ant and Dec was put on hiatus. And although the duo have hinted at its return, no date has been set.
Now, ITV have announced the launch of a new show, Celebrity Sabotage, from the creators of Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.

The show is described by ITV as combining "high-stakes reality, hilarious challenges, and incredible surprises".
They also revealed the format the show will take: "Contestants believe they are competing in a reality game show to win an incredible prize. But hidden away in a secret HQ, Celebrity Saboteurs are watching their every move, carrying out missions designed to disrupt their success.
"The more sabotage missions completed undetected, the greater the prize—but if a Celebrity Saboteur is caught, the contestant face a difficult decision. "
ITV's director of entertainment and daytime Katie Rawcliffe said: "Celebrity Sabotage is a unique combination of hidden camera, reality, and gameshow, delivering big laughs with a fantastic celebrity cast. We are delighted to bring this exciting new format to the audience."
Richard Cowles, Managing Director at Lifted Entertainment, added: "There are loads of laughs and the celebrities’ sabotage is all for a good cause - to win them loads of cash."
ITV confirmed that six hour-long episodes of Celebrity Sabotage will be shot in 2025, with the broadcast date yet to be confirmed.
Saturday Night Takeaway was first broadcast in June 2002 - and went on to become one of TV’s most popular variety shows. Its 90-minute long episodes were a big part of ITV's Saturday night schedule.
However, in April 2024, the duo finished the show's run with a two hour long star-studded finale. Ant and Dec released a statement saying: "The show takes up such a lot of our year, we just feel we need a little bit of a breather, and that the show is going to take a little bit of a rest.”
At the moment, takes the Saturday night early evening slot, with the finale of the current series expected in May 2025.
