CM Adityanath wishes the UP Warriorz team well in their first-ever home leg of the 2025 WPL

In Lucknow, UP Warriorz captain Deepti Sharma and Capri Sports director Jinisha Sharma met with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath before the team’s home leg in the current WPL 2025 and invited him to the team’s games.

“We are delighted to receive Yogi Adiyanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh,’s well wishes. As we prepare for our home leg matches in Lucknow, he has motivated our squad to play to the best of our abilities. Hosting him for our games would be a unique experience for us, and we are sure the team would make him and the state of Uttar Pradesh proud,” Capri Sports Director Jinisha Sharma said.

Deepti Sharma, captain of the UP Warriors, went on to say, “Meeting the Chief Minister was an honor. We are very appreciative of his well wishes for the team and thrilled to have his support.

In Season 3 of the WPL, the UP Warriors are preparing for their home stretch in Lucknow. The Capri Sports-owned UP Warriorz, led by none other than Deepti from Uttar Pradesh, are hoping to make history by playing at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium for the first time.

In this WPL leg, the UP Warriors will first play the Gujarat Giants on March 3. The club will next play the Mumbai Indians and the reigning champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru on March 6 and 8, respectively, under the capable tutelage of Jon Lewis.

Deepti Sharma (captain), Uma Chetry (worker), Chinelle Henry, Poonam Khamnar, Kiran Navgire, Dinesh Vrinda, Georgia Voll, Grace Harris, Alana King, Tahlia McGrath, Shweta Sehrawat, Anjali Sarvani, Sophie Ecclestone, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Saima Thakor, Arushi Goel, Kranti Goud, and Gouher Sultana comprise the UP Warriorz squad.
