March 3, Kolkata On Monday, the Kolkata Knight Riders, the reigning champions, presented their new uniform for the 18th Indian Premier League. In the official jersey launch video, which was broadcast as part of an unprecedented promotion, KKR supporters can be seen becoming fixated on “Number 3.”
‘Three Stars’, which represent the three trophies in KKR’s trophy cabinet, are sewn into the new jersey’s fabric as the video comes to a close. The video features cricket players wearing the new uniform, including Rinku Singh, Venkatesh Iyer, Ramandeep Singh, Manish Pandey, Vaibhav Arora, Anukul Roy, Mayank Markande, and Luvnith Sisodia.
In addition to the recently added third star above the team emblem, KKR’s jersey this year has a unique golden IPL badge on the arm, which was instituted by the competition to honor the 2025 edition’s reigning winners.
The jerseys, which were adorned with a design inspired by the “Three-edged Star,” were concurrently put up for sale on Knight Club, the team’s official app, website, and social media accounts.
Knight Riders made a novel effort to take their brand from a global level to a higher level—out in space—with their #InTheKnightSky campaign, and they chose 03/03 as the day to unveil their new Purple and Gold threads.
In honor of their championship victories in 2012, 2014, and 2024, three real stars in the sky have been recognized and given the names of the team’s inspirational motto: “Korbo,” “Lorbo,” and “Jeetbo.”
In their four IPL final appearances, KKR has won the title three times (in 2012, 2014, and 2024). They made one of the most incredible comebacks in the tournament’s history, finishing second in the 2021 season.
In an attempt to add a fourth star to their badge, KKR will play Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the season opener at Eden Gardens on March 22 to kick off their IPL 2025 campaign.
