Elon Musk has welcomed his 14th child, a son named Seldon Lycurgus, with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis. Their newborn joins his older siblings, twins Strider and Azure, and sister Arcadia.

Seldon’s arrival has drawn a lot of attention, especially from Indian users, amid reports suggesting he may have Indian roots.

After Shivon announced her son’s birth on social media, many followers delved into her background. Though the Tesla executive was born and raised in Ontario, Canada, it later emerged that her mother is Punjabi, and her father is Canadian.

Shivon disclosed the news of her and Musk’s child on X (formerly Twitter).

She tweeted, “Discussed with Elon and, in light of Arcadia’s beautiful birthday, we felt it was better to also just share directly about our incredible son Seldon Lycurgus. Built like a juggernaut with a solid heart of gold. Love him so much." Musk reacted to the announcement with a simple heart emoji.

After the news was shared online, a user posted a screenshot from Wikipedia, which mentioned that Shivon Zilis’s mother is Punjabi.

In a 2015 interview with USA Today, Zilis confirmed that although she “pretty much turned out white, I just got the big eyes from the Punjabi side."

During that time, Shivon Zilis’ name appeared in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list for young investors in venture capital due to her role in founding the investment team at Bloomberg Beta. According to the Financial Post, she initially planned to return to Canada after finishing her studies.

However, she became fascinated by the technology and decided to work for a major tech company in the US. She started at IBM in New York and later joined its global microfinance initiative. This role allowed her to travel the world and gain valuable knowledge. After two years, Zilis shifted her focus to start her business.

Other than sharing children, Strider Azure, Arcadia and Seldon Lycurgus with Shivon Zilis, Elon Musk also has Nevada Alexander, Griffin Musk, Vivian Jenna Wilson, Kai Musk, Saxon Musk, and Damian with Justine Wilson. With singer Grimes, the Tesla founder shares three children, X Æ A-Xii Musk, Exa Dark Sideræl Musk and Techno Mechanicus Musk.

Elon Musk is currently leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under US President Donald Trump’s administration.
