NEET UG Exam 2025: After 12th, many students dream of becoming a doctor. However, getting admission to a good medical college for MBBS is the first step to becoming a doctor. For this, candidates have to clear the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test i.e. NEET exam.
Only two months are left for this exam to be held on May 4, 2025. This year the total number of questions and time limit in the exam have been changed.
UnAcademy Director Harpreet Singh says that this time is very important for the students preparing for the exam. Keeping in mind the changes in the exam, you have to prepare with the right strategy.
Pointer notes will be useful in the revision
Before starting preparation for success in this exam, you should have complete information about its changed pattern and syllabus. This year a total of 180 multiple-choice questions will be asked in the exam and 180 minutes (three hours) will be given to answer all the questions. Along with this, section B has been removed from the NEET exam. There will be 45 questions each in Chemistry and Physics and 90 questions in Biology. While revising, make short notes of important formulas and concepts. These pointer notes will be useful for quick revision a day before the exam.
Focus on board exams.
Pay more attention to weak subjects and revise important topics repeatedly. Set aside at least three to four hours daily to revise old topics. Candidates who are appearing for class 12 exams should focus on their board exams. Your performance on the board is the basis of your success or failure in NEET.
Real-time experience
Give weekly mock and daily tests. This will help in understanding the exam pattern and time management. Also, you get a chance to improve your performance. Experience real-time exams and try to always give mock tests in an environment similar to the actual exam. Identify your mistakes after each mock test and analyze them to improve them.
Work on mistakes
There is also a provision for negative marking in the exam. Even if you answer more questions correctly than you did by mistake, negative marking can still affect your score. So avoid giving wrong answers as much as possible. The best way to do this is to work on your mistakes as much as possible.
