The One Show fans blown away by Twiggy's 'youthful' appearance

The One Show fans have expressed their surprise at Twiggy's appearance on the show. The model appeared on the chat show alongside Sadie Frost on Monday, March 3.

The duo sat down with Alex Jones and Roman Kemp to chat about the new documentary which focuses on Twiggy's rise to stardom, due to land in cinemas on 7 March. Twiggy, whose real name is Lesley Lawson, was accompanied by Sadie, who directed the upcoming film.

However, it wasn't the new movie with viewers talking at home. Many took to social media to gush over Twiggy and her youthful appearance, with some even questioning her age.

Writing on X, one person said: "#TheOneShow she looks great," before adding: "#TheOneShow Twiggy is an icon love her!"

Another said: "#TheOneShow @BBCTheOneShow Twiggy is stunning! How does she never age? Can't believe she's 75??? Looks more like 55. Seriously, what's her secret?"

Others shared their admiration for the model, writing: "theoneshow #twiggy I LOVE Twiggy," with somebody else adding: "Hi Ladies! GREAT to see you on The One Show! Looking forward to the film Have a GORGEOUS cushion with Twiggy's ICON face from the 60's on it, such a FAN !! (UK)."

During Twiggy's appearance on The One Show, she opened up about her upbringing and close relationship with her father.

"My dad was from Lancashire, he was very down to earth, very grounded, very loving, and he didn't take any nonsense, but, he was kind. My dad's always with me. He's always on my shoulder. I loved him, he was amazing," she said.

Speaking about the start of her career, Twiggy added: "I had to get permission from him to leave school. He was amazing, because he said, 'Listen, this might only last for three months, but if I don't give you permission to leave, you might end up resenting me, even hating me'. It was quite wise, actually. He was always my main man."

Twiggy's self-titled film marks the first time she has ever told her life story and features interviews with Joanna Lumley, Paul McCartney, and Stella McCartney.

The One Show airs on weekdays on BBC One at 7pm
