SSC MTS 2024: An important update has come out for the candidates appearing for the SSC MTS 2024 exam. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has decided to increase the number of vacancies in this recruitment. The final vacancy list has been released by the commission on March 3. In this regard, SSC has published a notice on its official website ssc.gov.in.

SSC MTS 2024: New vacancies announced

According to the official notification of SSC, now a total of 11,518 posts of Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) and Havildar will be recruited. Out of these:

8,079 vacancies are available for MTS posts.

3,439 posts are vacant for Havildar posts in the CBIC and CBN departments.

Earlier, a total of 9,583 posts were announced for SSC MTS recruitment. Now the commission has added 1,935 additional posts.

SSC MTS 2024: Recruitment Process by Age Group
The Staff Selection Commission has divided the MTS posts into two categories based on the age group:

18 to 25 years age group – This category includes 6,886 vacancies.

18 to 27 years age group – This category has 1,193 vacancies.

Talking about state-wise vacancies, the highest number of vacancies have been declared in Delhi.

567 posts are available for the age group of 18 to 25 years.

1,582 posts have been fixed in the age group of 18 to 27 years.

SSC MTS 2024: Important information related to the exam

Application Process: Applications for this recruitment were accepted from 27 June to 3 August 2024.

Correction Window: Candidates who had to correct their forms could do so between 16 to 17 August 2024.
Exam Date: SSC MTS Paper-1 was conducted from 30 September to 14 November 2024.
Answer Key Release Date: The answer key was published on 29 November 2024.
Result Declaration: The result of the exam was released on 21 January 2025.
Physical Test (PET/PST): The physical test was conducted between 5 to 12 February 2025.
New Announcement of Vacancy: SSC released the final vacancy list on 3 March 2025.
