This actor struggled for 15 years to get his breakthrough role. Although the movie was initially a flop at the box office but later it emerged as a cult classic in Hindi cinema. Recently his debut performance on OTT has been widely appreciated by the audience calling him pure magic on-screen. Take a wild guess who is he?
We are talking about Qais aka the lover from Imtiaz Ali-presented film Laila Majnu- Avinash Tiwari. Born in Bihar’s Gopalganj his father Rasheshwary Sharan Tiwary is an IRS office and mother is a homemaker. He was too an engineer but in order to pursue his passion in acting he switched careers in his fourth semester. Avinash then joined the popular Barry John’s acting studio before attaining a degree from the New York Film Academy.

Avinash then started appearing in short films and his struggle continued with character roles in projects like Ek Aangan Ke Ho Gaye Do Tu Hai Mera Sunday and Yudh. Well Imtiaz Alis Laila Majnu became his first film as a lead hero. Despite being a commercial flop the film emerged as Avinash careers breakthrough film and a story that leaves many hearts in pain.
Then Avinash starred in several critically acclaimed films like Bulbbul Ghost Stories The Girl on the Train Khakee: The Bihar Chapter Bambai Meri Jaan Jahaan Kaala and Madgaon Express.
Last seen in the OTT series called The Mehta Boys Avinash truly impressed audiences with his brilliant performance. Many are calling him one of the unexplored talents of Bollywood. Currently streaming on Prime Video the show also stars Boman Irani Shreya Chaudhry and Puja Sarup.
