Experts say that more than 80 percent of women experience hot flashes during menopause, but it can be controlled to a great extent by adopting some simple measures. Experts say that according to research, doing Brahmri Pranayama during this period can reduce hot flashes by up to 21 percent. This is an easy yoga technique, which reduces stress, calms the nerves and helps in controlling the body temperature.

How to do Brahmari Pranayama?

  • Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly with a humming sound, like a bee buzzing sound, while keeping your mouth closed.
  • Repeat this process daily for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • If possible, listen to relaxing music along with it, this doubles the effect.
