While the richest individual of the world often making it to the headlines the title of the wealthiest city often misses out. With an economy valued at approximately £1 trillion in 2023 the global financial hub is home to 349500 millionaires 675 centi-millionaires (those worth at least £100 million) and 60 billionaires. According to the Henley & Partners’ World’s Wealthiest Cities Report 2024 New York City has once again claimed the top position as the world’s wealthiest city. Here’s a closer look at the rankings and what sets these cities apart.
The New York City has a massive economy worth around £1 trillion in 2023 with 349500 millionaires 675 centi-millionaires (people worth at least £100 million) and 60 billionaires making it the wealthiest city in the world. The Henley & Partners’ World’s Wealthiest Cities Report 2024 has ranked the New York City first among the list of World’s Wealthiest Cities.
Cities in Henley & Partners’ World’s Wealthiest Cities Report
After the city of New York the second place in the Henley & Partners’ World’s Wealthiest Cities Report also goes to a city in the US as Northern California’s Bay Area which includes San Francisco and Silicon Valley comes second in the list. With one of the fastest wealth growth rates globally the city has witnessed an 82% rise in its millionaire population over the last ten years. Also the Northern California’s Bay Area is home to 305700 millionaires 675 centi-millionaires and 68 billionaires.

The New York City or NYC is the most populous city in the United States of America. Geographically located at the southern tip of New York State the prosperous city has five boroughs each coextensive with a respective county.
Two cities of India namely Mumbai the financial capita of India and New Delhi the national capital made significant progress breaking into the top 50 list of Henley & Partners’ World’s Wealthiest Cities Report 2024. Getting into the specifics Henley & Partners’ World’s Wealthiest Cities Report gave Mumbai and Delhi 24th and 37th rank respectively.
