The movie was a huge hit and people loved the performances of both stars. Made for Rs 100 crore the movie went on to earn more than Rs 500 crore. Let us tell you that the film we are talking about is Kabali which features Rajinikanth and Radhika Apte in lead roles. Released in 2016 Kabali was helmed by Pa. Ranjith and produced by S. Dhanu and Kalaipuli S. Thanu. The movie created many records and to date Kabali remains one of the most loved films. It is very evident that actor Rajinikanth is a brand himself. His performance in Kabali was marvelous and fans could not resist themselves from hailing the Thalaiva for his performance. The movie is among those where Rajinikanth appeared on screen with his classic grey hair. To add that touch to his character the actor also added a white mustache. According to media reports Kabali made on a budget of Rs 100 crores amassed a staggering Rs 650 crores at the box office. The film was released not only in India but also in countries like the USA Norway UAE Malaysia and Australia where it performed exceptionally well. As per news agency PTI Kabali was showcased on 8000 to 10000 screens worldwide including 480 screens in the US 490 in Malaysia and 500 across Gulf countries. Even before its release the movie created a lot of buzz as it is believed that the rights of the movie were sold for ₹200 crore. As per reports by News18 the movie created a stir at the US box office and earned $4.05 million in four days. Coming to India the movie released in three languages including Tamil Telugu and Hindi earned Rs 110 crore surpassing the opening weekend collections of Salman Khans Sultan which is said to be around Rs 105 crore. In the film Rajinikanth played the role of a gangster whereas Radhika Apte played the role of his wife.
