Law enforcement authorities have taken Atif Muhammad Khan, husband of well-known model and actress Nadia Hussain, into custody over allegations of financial misconduct involving a private bank.

Officials from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) confirmed that a formal complaint led to the registration of a case (FIR No. 9/25) at the Corporate Crime Circle in Karachi, following accusations of financial irregularities amounting to Rs 540 million.

According to the investigation, Atif Khan, who previously held a senior executive position at the bank’s securities division, is suspected of misappropriating funds for unauthorized financial trading and engaging in fraudulent schemes.

Further reports suggest that he allegedly collaborated with the institution’s Chief Financial Officer Faisal Sheikh and another individual, Imtiaz Ahmed, to manipulate financial records, conduct dubious transactions, and conceal discrepancies within the bank’s accounts.

After being apprehended, Atif Khan was brought before a customs court, where officials secured a four-day remand to facilitate further inquiries into the case.

Nadia Hussain, who has been married to Atif Khan since 2003 and shares four children with him, has yet to make an official statement regarding the situation.
